“All roads lead to this.” is the tagline for Fast and Furious 6 which proves itself on several different levels in the movie. The sixth episode, Fast & Furious 6, in the Fast and the Furious franchise is directed by Justin Lin. Although linked up with the franchise in the third movie The Fast & the Furious: Tokyo Drift, Lin accepted the challenge and took the inexperienced franchise to the successful regions.
Succeeding their productive heist in Fast Five (2011), Dominic Toretto (Diesel) and his professional criminal gang are living as retired multi-millionaires but remain wanted fugitives. An agent Luke Hobbs (Johnson) from U.S. Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) asks them to give their assistance in putting down an experienced international criminal Owen Shaw (Evans) and his second in command, Dominic's presumed-dead lover Letty Ortiz (Rodriguez). In exchange he offers them clearance for their criminal records and permission to return home.
With its scenes and action beats resisting physical laws and logics, Fast and Furious 6 elaborates the action to impossible and illogical point. Lin manages to grasp the interest of the audience in the movie through the story and pace.
The characters and situations from the previous films are revived in this flick to form a perfect bridge between the movies along with moving the action forward. This not only helps to provide the film a deep foundation but invokes adventures that are completely new to the franchise.
The film manages to maintain a perfect pace. The incidents happen so fast, avoiding any sort of restless approaching the mind. Majority of the action scenes are longer and more intense comparatively to the previous films, and are grandly welcomed. The action scenes do not feel too insistent because each set piece is totally different from the ones approaching it.
